Remember when the Bush presidency was entering its final throes, and every morning you eagerly jumped out of bed, Pee Wee Herman-style, and crossed off the day on the calendar, counting down? Ok, well I know I do.
Now, instead of repeatedly hounding those around us with, "Is it over yet?", it's more along the tearful lines of, "Doesn't it seem like just yesterday that he was throwin' 'bows with Hillary Clinton in the primaries? Now he's 100 days old! Before we know it, he'll be all grown up and leaving at the end of his second term!"
Pennsylvania Senator Arlen Specter celebrated the 100-day mark by becoming a Democrat, presumably to save himself in the next election, but nevertheless, welcome! I celebrated by spraying my dogs blue with Halloween hair paint. Again.

Amber, it is indeed SO wonderful to not have the political stress of "what is that sneaky s.o.b. Bush going to pull next?" hanging over our heads anymore! I think my political blood pressure has dropped 50 full points since Inauguration Day! LOL! But there is still so much reactionary obstructionism going on, and National Health Care MUST get passed along with so many other things. But, seemingly frustratingly slow as the process feels, we are still SO MUCH better off today than we were back on Jan. 19! Ahhhhhh! :)
