Case in Point

Look out--somebody received an email forward! John McCain had to perform a microphone snatch-back from Minnesotan Gayle Quinnell at a question-and-answer session at a Lakeville, MN, high school when she called Obama "an Arab". McCain corrected her, saying "No ma'am. He's a decent family man, citizen that I happen to have disagreements with on fundamental issues."

But Amber, he took her microphone away! What more do you want?! Waaa!

Well, I'm glad you asked. It might have been preferable for the Republican party not to have cooked up the false "Arab Muslim terrorist" identity in the first place. And yes, McCain and Palin are sliding in suggestions that invoke this image of Obama on a daily basis. (Bill Ayers, anyone?) As The Star-Tribune describes it, McCain is "struggling to contain an emotional fire his own campaign kindled."

On the other hand, if people are dumb enough to keep buying it, you might as well sell it. At this point, McCain needs all the help he can get.



If you can't find Quinnell in this picture, she's the upturned mop with the red t-shirt. After the rally, she stated, "You can't trust Barack Hussein Obama because he is a Muslim and a terrorist."

Well, that's good to know.
