Mmm Disgusting: The Michael Phelps Diet

BBC News reports that swimmer Michael Phelps takes in an astonishing 12,000 calories on a daily basis in order to have enough energy for his rigorous training regimen. And the worst part is the disgusting combinations of foods used to meet the quota.

For breakfast, he consumes three fried egg sandwiches with lettuce, tomato, fried onions, cheese, and mayonnaise, as well as a five-egg omelet, three chocolate-chip pancakes, three sugar-dusted slices of French toast, a bowl of grits, and two cups of coffee.

For lunch, he eats a pound of enriched pasta, two large ham and cheese sandwiches "smothered" with mayonnaise on white bread, and energy drinks.
For dinner, he has a pound of pasta with carbonara sauce, a large pizza, and more energy drinks.

Is anyone else surprised that he's able to leave the toilet long enough to go swimming? Thought so.
