I've noticed that in many non-English speaking countries, people often manufacture and buy t-shirts or other items printed in English without knowing, apparently, what they actually say.
One particularly horrendous example of this was a gift bag that my grandma and I saw at a dollar store--in the states, actually. (This is also a good example of the saying that you get what you pay for.) The bag said, "We're so happy for your's wedding".
Anyway, a first grade student of mine came to school the other day with a t-shirt that said, "Do you wanna wear my panky lace?"
First of all, what exactly is panky lace?
More importantly, I am pretty sure that if six-year-old Greta does in fact possess this mysterious panky lace, no one ought to be "wearing it" for quite some time.
